LiteTouch™ Er:YAG - Free Expression of Dental Mastery -
LiteTouch™ is the first non-fiber, all-tissue Er:YAG dental laser. LiteTouch™ breakthrough “Laser-in-Handpiece™” technology completely eliminates the need for use of fiber-delivered uncomfortable laser technology. LiteTouch™ ergonomic design enables complete flexible movement in the oral cavity, imitating the use of the traditional dental handpiece (turbine drill) in its look and feel.
The use of LiteTouch™ laser can be incorporated within all areas of the day-to-day dentistry carried out at the clinic, including aesthetics, restorative treatments, prosthodontics, orthodontics, pediatrics and many more common procedures.
The unique Laser-in-Handpiece™ technology accentuates precision, enabling dentists to perform selective hard and soft tissue treatment of targeted areas while conserving tooth structure and leaving healthy tissue unaffected. The LiteTouch™ innovative Laser-in-Handpiece™ technology uniquely integrates the entire laser mechanism in a small sized chamber - 12cm long and 2.3cm diameter in comparison to 30kg– 60kg laser systems and 1-meter long optic fibers of other Er:YAG brands. This revolutionary technology concept enables a perfectly balanced high energy output with a wide frequency range, allowing fast and accurate cutting capabilities. The unique LiteTouch™ handpiece prevents loss of energy along with the precision control of pulse duration that fits the selected procedure.
LiteTouch™ is the smallest and lightest dental laser in the industry, weighing less than 20 kg/44 lbs and can easily fit in to any dental clinic. LiteTouch™ is the only dental laser that makes it possible for dentists to enjoy a complete expression of their dental expertise and mastery when conducting a wide range of dental procedures.
LiteTouch™ enables free movement of the hand just like the turbine drill, thus requiring a very short learning curve for the practitioner, with very basic training for non-contact working capabilities. Unlike other Er: YAG lasers, the transition from the use of turbine drill to the LiteTouch™ is shorter and simpler due to the “Laser in the Handpiece” characteristics and ergonomic design, imitating the turbine drill's look and feel. While the turbine drill is mainly focused on contact between the drill and the tissue, LiteTouch™ laser is a non-contact tool, reducing unnecessary pain and vibration.
LiteTouch™ requires a very short learning curve for the practitioner, including very basic training in order to enable practitioners to adjust to non-contact working capabilities, as well as learn how to convert their daily dental routine – normally carried out with drills and scalpels - into smooth laser operation. Utilizing the laser’s thermal energy, the LiteTouch™ mechanism penetrates the tissue in the teeth and heats the weather (H2O) and Hydroxyapatite (Ca10PO46OH2) molecules, which can be found in teeth and bones within the human body. When the molecules reach evaporation level, they explode and create a unique “cutting effect” of hard or soft tissue. In contrast with the turbine drill, which works from above in a direct manner, LiteTouch™ has a higher penetration control, which is only 2-3 (microns). Also, the LiteTouch™ laser can significantly reduce the risk of micro cracks in the enamel, which sometimes occur when a drill is used and leaves a no smear layer.
Dental practitioners across the globe know that staying ahead with the latest technological advancements will ensure their clinical success and future clientele. With LiteTouch™ they can increase their business revenues, perform multiple procedures, gain more chair time, and provide the most advanced dentistry services to their patients.
LiteTouch™ solves clinical needs that have existed in the dentistry world over the past 15 years. The use of LiteTouch™ significantly reduces typical occupational health discomfort experienced with old generation lasers; dental practitioners can say goodbye to such symptoms as common hand arthritis and shoulder pain.
LiteTouch™, soon to be recognized as the leading next generation technology of Er: YAG laser dentistry, with its high versatility and powerful cutting ability - just as the mobile phone has freed our world from use of cables - will metamorphose the dentistry world from a world of optic fiber limitations to a world of LiteTouch™ Er: YAG lasers installed at every single dental practice across the globe.
